Diamond Pet Food Recall: Oregon Not Affected
An outbreak of aflatoxin cases in dogs has been linked to contaminated pet food from Diamond Pet Foods. Aflatoxin is a toxic by-product of the growth of a fungus on corn and other crops. When ingested, it can cause severe and life-threatening disease. There have been canine fatalities as a result of this outbreak.
Diamond Pet Foods has recalled all of the products from its facility in Gaston, S.C., that contain corn. Products shipped to Oregon are NOT on the recall list. States west of the Mississippi receive Diamond products manufactured in Meta, Missouri and Lathrop, California. The source of the aflatoxin is from a lot of corn grown under drought-stricken regions of the Southeastern U.S. The Gaston facility services the states of Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Aflatoxin has been found in less than 1.5% of Diamond's recalled products following 2,700 dog food sample analyses done by independent laboratories specializing in aflatoxin testing. Specifically, Diamond is now focused on further testing of Diamond Premium Adult and Diamond Maintenance dog foods.
According to information received from Dr. Jerry Heidel of the Oregon State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory and Charlie Powell, Public Information Officer for the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine, there have been allegations of a connection between the aflatoxin contamination and recall occurring in the eastern United States and pet foods sold under the Kirkland brand name by Costco stores in the Pacific Northwest. Diamond manufactures pet foods for Kirkland and company officials readily conveyed that information when asked.
According to a Costco official, the dog food formulations produced by Diamond for the Kirkland brand are lamb and rice formulations and do not contain corn. Some of the cat food products sold under the Kirkland brand do contain small amounts of corn, but were not manufactured in the South Carolina facility with the contaminated corn. Samples of Diamond foods manufactured in the western U.S. have tested negative for aflatoxin. The testing was done exclusively as a precaution by both Diamond and Costco on the ingredients as well as the finished rations. Based upon Costco’s sales and consumption rate estimates, most, if not all, of the cat food manufactured during the same time period in question has been consumed without any reported illness, death, or aflatoxin contamination. While issues in medicine should never be declared impossible, it is highly improbable that Kirkland brand cat foods sold in Washington or Oregon could be contaminated with aflatoxin related to the recall by Diamond.

我今天中午去汐止好事多了
該牌的飼料 紫包 全都下架了~~
哀 我專程去好事多
想找飼料的保存期限說~~
這樣都找不到了
我有請服務人員查我購買時間
是2005.03月買的~
不曉得這一批保存有沒有可能到2007年呢!
應該是不會這麼久吧!!
希望沒事才好!

請問這款貓飼料 保存期限都多久啊??
因為我去年前半年曾經有一陣子是將好事多混合美士餵~~
吃掉一兩包 才停止~~~
去年前半年購買的 不曉得會不會就是保存到2007 這一批有問題的飼料?

我覺得日興貓砂不錯
但是都要用電話訂購

之前有一陣子變的不好用了 有點不容易凝結 也有點臭
但是 現在新出的新產品 叫做'球砂'
貴了一點點
不過 跟以前比起來
好用很多
比較小包一點
大約20-25公斤 350元左右
不好意思 他們有分粗砂 細砂 球砂
價位常常都有變動
所以 我記不太清楚
反正就是300-350之間啦``
貓使用後
尿尿都能結的很大一塊 雖然覺得用量凶
但是 很滿意 因為尿尿很大塊 很結實
讓我非常滿意
至於臭味
我的忍耐度蠻高的
都只有用他贈送的香水粒掩蓋臭味
效果不錯
因為家中貓口多
所以 捨不得買貴的貓砂 .....
一直購買日興的
但是 至今覺得球砂最好用 粉沉比較少
應該會一直用下去...
若無經濟壓力者
建議可以使用evercleean
超級好用 是一個藍色的盒子 但價位較高 ....所以無奈放棄....
這牌子的貓砂凝結很強 臭味少
而且包裝良好 (我喜歡盒裝的東西 不喜歡袋裝的) 圖片上的白貓又很美....
真是不錯的凝結砂

只要有袋子打開
不管是旅行箱還是一般紙袋
貓就會跳進去
還等你關起來
把他提起來走一走咧~

我印象中也是說他喝母奶 會採媽媽的肚子
所以 變成他們遇到軟的東西 會踏一踏
然後發出乎嚕聲
感到滿足
不然就是想喝奶吧...呵呵

貓真的很有靈性
我家母貓生的小孩
其中一隻被帶走後
他就不停的找小孩...
到現在 好像還記得
長咬著一團紙
當成小孩 刁到盒子裡面放 還喵喵叫
叫聲就是他當初刁小孩的叫聲
(不是抓壁虎的聲音~)
所以 他們是很有靈性的
.

男貓----半夜聲音都是用凹的 凹~~~ 凹~~~~ 不然就是鬼吼聲
女貓----根本是尖叫....又吼尖叫...不過這是被公貓抓住的時候的求救聲
以前還沒結紮時 是假裝嬰兒聲 很輕 也會拉長音~~

對了
我觀察過 他好像月圓左右
都會這樣歇斯底里
前天還打開玻璃門
很重(我家是20年公寓)
竟然應聲聲推開
結果 他坐在陽台賞月...
真奇怪 就像狼人一樣
超冷的
他就是不故一切要開門賞月.....
家庭不溫暖嗎?
我們都對他超好的
只是 昨天真的惹腦我了!
每一段日子就想發情一次
胡搞瞎搞的
明明家中的貓都結紮了啊!!

我家奇普已經結紮多年
但是 仍然對母貓不放棄
常鬼叫
這也就算了
但是 半夜經常對她親生母親性侵害
母貓會大聲尖叫呼救
我們全家就會醒來救他~
所以 半夜常雞犬不寧
昨天 我很很的痛扁公貓
因為抓進我房間
他就鬼叫 一直撞門
要我放他出去
出去後
他就去找母貓(在我妹房間)
我妹擔心他會去抓母貓 所以 就把忙關上 不讓他進去
他就撞門
撞不開 就大聲鬼叫
然後去後陽台抓我妹房間的紗窗 就是一心一意要衝進去找母貓
而且他好像有幽閉恐懼症
只要有門關起來 就發出類似發情一樣的怪聲
昨天我只好痛打他了 我半夜2點到6點都沒有睡 就跟他奮戰
真是迄死我了 一度想抓他去衝冷水 看會不會清醒一點
結果早上 他一看到我就逃
我很心痛
我一直很愛他 但是 他這樣不明就裡的鬼叫 又欺負母貓
到底是怎樣
是精神疾病?或是結紮不完全?
我確定蛋蛋已經切了3年.....
